They offer melodic metal, with a hint of AOR I would say. Catchy choruses and strong melodies seem to be the outline from which these guys paint their musical canvas. It is a great production, like you can expect from an Alessandro Del Veccio production – it bears his trademarks. The songs are the typical variety we usually hear on albums similar to this one, so the variation is more or less also what you can expect – not overly varied but with a playing time of about 46 minutes I don’t think that too many will be too bothered with it. One thing I should point out though is that there is an air of familiarity over this album, it isn’t exactly unique in style but it is easy to take in and easy to like.
I think this album has much to like about it, the songs work very well and the performances are mostly flawless – sure it would have been nice with a better vocalist and some other things but overall I think this is an album that will appeal to many. Sure it will probably not feature on too many top lists over this years best albums but it still sounds pretty enjoyable and if you are not looking for a novel approach it could be a nice album to listen to. But as a critic it is really hard for me to say that this is anything but one more of those well made, but ultimately pretty uninteresting albums that amass the world of music today – it would be nice with quality over quantity at some times.
The songs are all good on this album, none of them really grabs my attention and in the end the whole album don’t really interest me that much. I would have liked some more novelty, not just another one of those very nicely sounding albums that ultimately just sounds like everything else. If you like melodic metal with really nice production is could be an album to check out but don’t expect miracles.
