Ex biker champion James Toseland is back with a new album, it follows the debut that was released in august last year. He seems to be a diligent man this Toseland fellow as he has already managed to put together and record another album, this one is called Cradle the Rage and it has a more electric cover than the debut – from the graphic side it looks far more interesting than the debut did. But what about the music? The first album wasn’t exactly world champion material more of the also-ran backmarkers kind, the Toro Rosso of hard rock music.

Musically it differs little from the debut, commercial hard rock with the same selection of songs – the standard selection of the genre with energetic songs, anthems, ballady songs and so on. Lots of sing-along style choruses and all of that. James Toseland sings very well, his vocals fits very well to the music. Variation and playing time is fairly okay while the production is very strong – I would describe this as a quality production.

Unlike Mr Toseland I drive a vehicle of the four-wheeled variety and when doing so I like to enjoy music and what better music for a fast car than something from a racing champion? Well, a lot really. But, this is not a bad choice for car music, it is good, easily accessible, energetic and interesting enough for you to pay attention to it. I like this album and I would not be ashamed to recommend this album and think that several of you readers will agree with me on that. And I can also point out that this is a clear improvement on the debut album.

Most of the tracks on the album are very strong and none of them are weak. The best ones are the opening track Too Close to Call that I think sets a great tone and opens the album in a great way, and the ending title that is a great song and an excellent closing song. I like this album, it is good and in difference to the debut I will keep it.
