I would say that this album would benefit from a little bit more tempo as the playing time for the dozen of songs on offer become a tad on the long side but with some tempo and more variation that would have worked out a little better. One might also argue that there isn’t exactly anything new on offer from this trio and that is a very valid argument, they repeat what others have already done as so many bands do but this band has the benefit of not sounding like something Xeroxed from something specific like too many bands do. I would call this album a very solid effort, good production, good songs and a good performance is a solid foundation for snatching some new fans.
I find it paradoxical that I find the song with least tempo the best when I want them to up the tempo an energy, track seven Weary is my highlight maybe because it is a nice break from the more common styles we hear on this album. And I like the album as it is rather good even though it will hardly make much of a dent in the world of music but I don’t doubt it will win the band some new fans.
I have enjoyed this album, it works rather well and as a while of entertainment it works quite well. Conclusion is that it is a solid debut album that probably won’t go down in history but might just as well trap them some new fans in a very cunning way.
