Classick heavy rock/metal music with plenty of energy and a completely uncomplicated approach, music that is easy to take to and easy to get into with its catchy choruses and high energy approach. But they have more depth than meets the eye at first glance and these little things actually gives this album much more longevity than what I first expected. This quartet has managed one hell of a production and a fat one at that, but what did you expect from a Scottish band – they know all about being robust and those things.
And it is a very good album, great songs, great energy and emotion and a longevity that makes it last for many plays. It feels a bit like they have really perfected the art of making simple rock music and thus validating their own existence making them different from the loads of indifferent bands that plague the music scene today. They say that they have a great live show as well, but then you have to look at them and their video doesn’t really make me want to do that – good thing music isn’t about looks and making interesting videos. Besides looks, they have a slight weakness that their music is not in any way unique which could make someone like me overlook this great album – fortunately for me it was on my list of albums to review.
All ten tracks of the album are good and I don’t really think any of them stand out that much but I do really enjoy the opening track but that might just be down to the fact that everything starts with that track. Simply an enjoyable album with a simplistic approach, robust and great – I really like this one.
