A 23 minutes track about space, cats and house rent! That’s what it is all about, cats, space and renting houses, we are treated to some serious stuff here. A universe where the cats are ruling, traversing space in serious speeds laying planets under their dominion – ruling the world with a firm paw, treating you to the claw if you disobey them. This is how it sounds, the story comes through the notes and the tones, and sometimes we go back in time to the NES-system where a sound reminding of the 8-bit tone comes through. It is all very exciting and I can see my cat making strange plans when he is not making a lot of noise and mayhem with the keyboard. It is a weird story, that much is certain, but it can also be that it is the imagination of the listener that is weird – who knows?

Thing is that from the cats we need to rent a house, a house floating in space and from there it gets even weirder. These stories just don’t make sense and they seem like nothing I have heard before, at the same time it does remind me of many things. Strange and exciting are words I would like to use always but the thing is: cats are pretty one-dimensional beings – they may be fairly intelligent and clever but their minds are quite empty still and this is reflected in the story a bit. The sound is very exciting and dramatic, the production is high quality and I think these guys really have many things going for them.

The thing is though that they are trying to bribe reviewers with a stripper and that they also says that we get a discount on cat food if we give them a good review while we are punished by getting high priced baguettes or other things that are about as bad depending on what you say about them. They say that they are in league with the cats but so am I and I can counter threat them and say that if they try to punish me for saying that their music is decent but no more, I have the world’s most annoying cat to destroy their lives with if they chose to try and punish this reviewer for not being overly positive like some others I have read. You cannot threaten me to write anything but my opinion.

In the end I think this sound like nothing else but it still sounds familiar and it is good and dramatic, it tells a story (a very weird one but still), it has a lot of depth but it still works better as a background than something you want to sit and listen to for a long while. I think that a main gripe of mine is that my cat doesn’t like it and that the ending track that is a symphonic version of what we just heard feels quite pointless to me. But I still recommend that you who like your music a bit more strange and dramatic to have a closer look at this because it doesn’t matter how much the paws press the keys, it is still not really possible to describe it in words. Miao!
