Hardly innovative, they would have shown a fresh perspective if this was released in the seventies or something. The clichés are coming over and over, catchy choruses and a singer typical of the genre. The production sounds like something from the eighties and the variation is not much to write home about. But it is short and to the point with a playing time just short of 40 minutes which could be a saving grace for the band because you till grow tired fast because you don’t get variation and there is no real depth in the songs. It is more like those albums of the early eighties where an album sold in millions only by being in this genre and having the right attitude. But that was then, now it feels just old and silly.
Not a particularly interesting album, decent songs but nothing to write home about. And you bore with it easily. This kind of music was not good when it was popular in the bast, some new bands have managed to give it life and be better than any of the successful bands in the past was but this band sounds like those old successful sleaze rock bands and it is not anything I like to spend my time listening to. A bit boring.
I have no favourite track on this album, they are all quite even and none are particularly interesting. It is just an album that you listen to and then forget that you have ever heard, kind of a musical waste of time. It gets too much nostalgic for me and that is nostalgic for a genre that wasn’t even good in the first place. Cannot really see the relevance in this album, it is quite boring and it is difficult to see who (other than the temple guys) who can like this album. Quite boring, a bit of a yawn.
