fastball music
Musically it has a pretty typical classic selection of hard rock songs, but it might span a bit wider than most even though we have the hit potential and the ballads that are to be expected. It is a female fronted band, not the greatest of voices. The production is modern and fairly dynamic, the playing time is kept relatively sensible even though I could have done without the bonus tracks that seems a bit pointless.
It starts really strong with Stay Free, a track that sets a good tone and opens the album in a great way. Then nothing much happens, the ballad Behind the Clouds is fairly nice but I am not sure it is that good, but it stands out on this album. This album that is pretty stale, and pretty dull. I don’t really think this album offers much of value, it is said tracks perhaps, and possibly something more. But mostly it is just one more of those albums, one of those that makes a grey slab of concrete seem colourful. I don’t see why you would be impressed with this album as it doesn’t have much to offer.
I don’t see any reason to waste much time with this one, there is one or two good tracks but that can be said about many sad albums. This is another one of those that makes up the numbers but offers nothing, I would say that you don’t have to search for long to find something far more exciting than this album. The meaningless bonus tracks, highlighted by a Christmas song at the end kind of makes this point way more than I can, why a Christmas song on an album not dedicated to Christmas – that kind of song at Christmas is already more than what is bearable. The other track in German is one of the most soulless tracks I have heard in my life, so I don’t think you need to bother with this one.
