Alberto is the September Man being born in September and living on a street with that name, this is his debut album and I cannot say that the cover art looks amazing. The band is a quintet, and they have a few guests, Alberto is the producer and I would say that he has produced a fairly strong debut album in the melodic rock genre.

It is melodic rock, perhaps AOR, with some bluesy elements and things like that. It is s strong production with very good sound, I like the use of male and female vocals, it adds depth to the album. It is a good choice with the vocals to add dynamics to the album, the variation is good over the ten tracks, and the playing time is sensible. I think the album can be described as a strong production that sounds more mature than just your everyday debut album, it is clear that Alberto is a skilled musician and a pretty good song writer.

September Man is a good album, the songs are good, and I don’t think there are any massive downsides to the album. On the upside account I am missing a really strong hit song that could have made this album really memorable, but there are really good tracks like A Little Bit Older and Night Survivor that I thinks stands slightly above the other tracks on the album.

Overall I think this is a pretty strong debut album, not amazing and probably not so memorable that I will pick it up again now that I have written this little text about it. But still, a good album, really solid debut, and I think that Alberto is likely to make more strong albums in the future, perhaps even some excellent ones. In the end I think you cannot really go wrong with this album; it is hard to dislike.
