Italian saints that trade returns with their second album Time to be Heroes. The debut album was released in 2015 and the band was formed back in 2009 so they already have a decade of existence. Their new album has a pretty decent artwork even though it looks like other things in the catalogue from Burning Minds Group and it sounds like that as well. Typical Italian melodic rock or AOR according to some commenters, I think there are worse things to be than that considering the great artists and album that have originated from Italy.

It is catchy and almost infectious, passengers of my car usually don’t comment on the music I play but they liked this album, so there is something positive about it. It isn’t exactly innovative, and it is very inspired by the eighties and that kind of music, it is also quite similar to much of the Italian AOR catalogue. It is way more catchy than original; the variation is pretty decent but the playing time is a bit on the long side with well over fifty minutes. Perhaps a bit more variation and less cliché would have made it appear more sensible in terms of playing time, because if there is something that merits a complaint or two it is the playing time. The singer has a little accent but that is hardly an issue, I think he is quite good.

This is a pretty good album; it is catchy and easy to like. The songs are quite entertaining, and it is one of those albums that are quite impossible to dislike. Sure it isn’t breaking new ground or anything like that, but the good songs makes it worth listening to despite the lack of originality. There are many catchy tracks and all of them good, but none of them can be considered an extraordinary hit or really memorable. This album’s weakness is probably that it misses a really strong hit and that it is a bit long. Still, it is an album that I have enjoyed listening to, it is quite enjoyable.

Livin’ to Rock is probably not wrong to say about them, I probably live to rock as well and therefore I am enjoying this one. You should check it out if you enjoy the melodic rock genre and especially the Italian division of that genre. It may not be the most original or fantastic album but it is impossible not to sing along with the catchy songs you hear when listening to it.
