Seller of souls or maybe they have sold their soul to the devil in order to create better music, it is their second official album and it follows five years and a few members after the previous one. Amongst others they have a new vocalist and the press sheet tells us how they have evolved and things like that. The cover art certainly looks exciting and Alessandro Del Veccio has helped with production and that would seem to indicate that there is much quality in this album. Their previous album was good but didn’t really stand out, so have they evolved into a stand out band this time?

Well, I wouldn’t say that it sounds like any of Del Veccios best productions, but still a good production with clean and nice sound. The new vocalist is okay, not the best I have heard but not the worst either. Melodic rock/AOR is how we can describe it in terms of style and it has some catchy songs and good melodies. A little long album but not to a degree that is bothering me and it doesn’t feel too long. Typical variation for the genre and overall I think we can describe this as a rather predictable album, fairly typical of the melodic rock/hardrock genre.

I would say that it is a good album, no standout or earth shattering but good and strong nonetheless. It lacks a bit of originality but I think will work out pretty okay for those who like the genre. The songs are good and it offers more or less what you can expect from an album in the melodic rock genre, it is a bit too predictable for my tastes and the main problem is that we have heard it done at least as good so many times before.

It is one of those albums that are too good to be bad and too bad to be really good. Sort of a solid production from a band that does their job, good but not really impressive, a nice solid piece of work but not really anything that will stand out in comparison with all that other stuff that keeps coming out in this genre. I doubt you will dislike it if you get it but neither am I too sure that you will love it.
