It is heavy metal, kind of in accordance with a format. Not the most varied album I have ever encountered, and it is quite long as well. I thought it was way over an hour long as it felt like that, it did prove however that the album was a little over 50 minutes – the longest 52 minutes I have encountered in a while. Everything in terms of production can be described as rather average.
I think it is a rather dreary album, okay in most regards but it just doesn’t go anywhere and it becomes a chore to listen to it rather than entertainment. I don’t find this album overly exciting, or even agreeable. I don’t really think they do enough to really engage anyone, the songs lack the energy, the depth, and the dynamics – there isn’t really anything there for me. The album lacks direction, and it is very difficult to think of anything meaningful to write about it.
None of the songs really grab me, the vocalist could be a lot better and the same can be said about the songs and the production. It is maybe not bad but I do think that these guys have a lot to improve if they want to contribute anything meaningful to the heavy metal catalogue. I think that this album lacks many things and if you ask me it is an album you could do well without.
