Danes that prevail and who think that war will reign. From the cover it looks a bit warlike with houses in ruins and things like that, I would describe it as an attractive and pretty exciting cover artwork. As stated before the band hail from Denmark, a nation with some great death metal musicians in their midst and Prevail are of course hoping to be one of those bands that are being respectfully talked about amongst the fans.

Technical and traditional death metal is the framework of this album but with some modern groove and a very nice modern production. Very hard and heavy, brutal vocals and plenty of power, they also offer some strong melodies and a decent variation over the tracks on the album. They offer much more depth than most of the bands in this genre and I think that it is a really excellent death metal production – you would have to look long and hard to find better.

And it is not just the production that is strong and great, the album itself is one of the better death metal albums I have heard, especially compared with their more traditional styled death metal peers. There is much to like as the music is great over the whole line and thanks to the strong depth and variation it remains interesting for the entire playing time. They simply do most things right in my view, and if you are looking for great new death metal I suggest that you take a closer look at this album.

One could want a really massive standout track that really draws you into the album but as all the tracks are very good it isn’t such a big deal in this case. And in the end I can only conclude that this is a very strong death metal album, one that I can recommend.
