Well, musically it is a diverse concoction with styles ranging from rock to kind of Mexican western sountrack styled music. She sings in English and in Spanish, and the songs are very varied throughout the album. I think Vonne sings relatively well, and the production is great, the album is diverse yet still coherent. And there is good depth in the album, although I doubt those who read our webzine for the heavier stuff will find this album amusing. Rock/Tex-Mex is how the label describes it, I think that can be a good genre description.
Vonne sings best in Spanish but it is the more rock styled songs that works best in my opinion, but I think that the album is quite good overall. Sure, I don’t see it as fantastic or anything but it is an entertaining album to listen to. Maybe not stylistically the usual stuff for out webzine but this album is good enough to be enjoyed by at least some of our readers. So it might be worth taking a look at for those of you who aren’t completely snowed in on the heavier stuff, I found this album rather enjoyable.
The best songs are the one that has a little more pace and a little more energy, like the opening title track and third track Ravage Your Heart and the ending bonus track. These are my highlights of this album, an album that I think might be well be worth checking out.
