Their music dwells on negative feeling and the darker moods of life; it is depressive black metal in its framework but with touches of post-punk and a little catchiness. The vocals are sung in Swedish and are raspy, sort of screaming out in desperation – I think they are great. The production is rough and harsh, dark, kind of like the overall mood of this album. But fortunately they have some sparkles of hope, sparkles of hope that give life to the negativity, and I also must add that only darkness would have been really bad.
It has some abyssal depths, it actually start with a track called Abyss if you translate it, we get some autumn depressions, insights and it ends with euphoria where the ending track might be the headline track but the best thing is the whole of the album that paints a great and dark story. You just have to love some refreshing negativity and depression; I know I do. I also know that this is not an album for everyone, the style is one that isn’t to everyone’s liking but it is really strong and it has all you could want from this kind of album – hence the strong rating.
What more can I really say about my countrymen in Eufori? Well, not much more than complimenting them on a great album that offers us some great and refreshing darkness. I think you should check it out, especially if you like dark and depressive black metallish stuff. Great medicine for my mood swings.
