I think that you would be very surprised if I exclaimed that this band hails from the icy cold plains of Tunisia, or the world down under called New Zealand – that is of course because they have Sweden in their name and of course they are from up here in the cold north. It would be a lot more fun if they would have called themselves Eternal (of Bolivia) but I doubt they are imaginative enough to think of such a thing. As little surprising as this band’s origins is also the style of music they play, I think their cover and logo explains very clearly that we are dealing with a power metal band. With that said, I think the artwork is really good and hopefully the band has made what follows that artwork equally good.

Power metal as I stated earlier, and quite standardised power metal at that. Fortunately they do not use the Helloweenish high pitched, clear voiced vocalist but one that is better. The soundscape is pretty average for a power metal album, they really offer no surprises, fans of power metal are clearly the targeted audience and it is almost like there is no real point for anyone else to look at this album. It is a solid production, that much is certain, and I think they vary the album well enough and they keep it short enough with 46 minutes of playing time on ten tracks.

With no surprises it is difficult to get very excited about a power metal album, it is not like we are receiving very few of those and I have a hard time seeing what this album has that makes it more interesting than any of the other hundred albums that wants me to listen to them. A decent vocalist and standardised, although good, songs makes it very difficult for me to muster up anything much about the album. I think it is pretty good and fans of power metal will probably find it appealing enough – although I doubt that anyone, let alone me, will give them a standing ovation.

Of the tracks I find that the title track is the one I like the best, not that it is an amazing song or anything like that but it is very good. The album itself is also good, a solid effort but in today’s music scene it is not really enough to make a solid effort as it will be forgotten as soon as the next status update on that stupid social media that so many people seem to like. Not really as eternal as one could imagine, but maybe fans of power metal should at least have a look at it.
