More than five years is how long Enbound have kept their fans in suspense awaiting their new album that finally sees the light of day now. In five years a lot of things can happen and many days pass so you have that long time to perfect your handiwork that you are to deliver your adoring fans – which is exactly what these guys have done, or so it seems. They deliver an album that was certainly worth the wait, and one with a rather exciting artwork. I just can’t help thinking that it is a shame that the album isn’t released on vinyl, but you can’t have it all I guess.

Their previous album was highly acclaimed so this one has much to live up to, and in terms of the production it really does – the sound is really excellent. I think power metal could be a good general term to describe this album but there is a lot more to it than that. They have a good variation of songs from calmer ballad ones to more powerful up-tempo songs, and they are all very easy to take to – easy to like. However, it is not only that they are easy to take to and catchy, they also have enough depth to have the longevity a great album needs.

From the opening track Falling it is clear that this album is special, it has everything you could possibly want from an album like this. I would go as far as stating that this is an album without weaknesses, completely without them. The only thing I would argue is that the album is a bit short, but I think that its 41 minutes are just about perfect as it is short enough for you to want to play it again and still long enough to avoid being repetitive if you do play it once more.

I could mention all songs as brilliant songs with hit potential but there are some that stand out just a little bit more, like Crossroad that is a catchy and great song. My favourite is probably Holy Grail that is a very interesting track with some mesmerising parts; They Don’t Really Know is another great one. All these three I have mentioned are amongst the best songs I have heard this year, in fact I think that the album could just be the best of the year – at least it is a strong candidate for that position.

The vocals, the melodies, the songs and just about everything about this album can be described as great. It is a terrific album that will go down well amongst music fans no matter the genre they generally like. It may just be the holy grail of albums 2016 and I claim that you have to get it, no I claim that you will regret if you don’t get it.
