A reintroduction would indicate that these guys are taking a new path musically, post-hardcore is what they are playing. Talkative agonising screams mixed with more regular punkish vocals, decent variation, lots of energy and power – and decent variation over 36 minutes and ten tracks. That is a short description of what we are getting from this second album by these Americans.

The vocals are quite good and their style is something of a throwback to the sound of the early 2000s but maybe with a more modern production. I think that it is a great production and really like the sound. They certainly do not capsize with this album; I would say rather the opposite. It floats very well in my opinion.

I would actually say that it is one of the best albums I have heard in a while within this genre, and that I really like it. I don’t really think that they do anything wrong, their album works on many level – sure more originality would not hurt but as they are good enough so that it doesn’t really matter. The songs are good, the variation is good, the energy is great and the tempo keeps the listener busy most of the album.

There are some kickass songs on this album, like the opener XX (Sew My Eyes) that is a great opening track - in fact it is a great track period. Then I also find the seventh track Split My Soul which is a great track, both melodic and with a good tempo. Sixth track called Safe Place is a good slower break in an otherwise quite intense album. I would say that they push all the right buttons, and I will push the play button to listen through the album once again.
