mighty music
The songs certainly have hit potential, the instrumental songs are a bit different though as they are a little more different and to the seasoned reviewer perhaps a little bit more interesting. The vocalists are all good and there is a decent bit of variation over ten tracks and 40 minutes of music. Modern and very pop-rockish production that I think would work really well on any radio station and he could probably reach decent success if his music gets to be heard in any kind of wider circle. I can conclude that it is certainly a quality production, but in order to make a complete recipe for great music you also need really strong songs and that is usually much more difficult than producing well-sounding songs of a more generic quality.
I do however think that ABO does quite well with this album, the songs are pretty good and pretty enjoyable to listen to but it is not a real standout effort in my opinion, it is a little bit too generic for that – even though he has some great guitar playing on here. The songs with vocals are bit too much Max Martin though and I would say that it is the instrumental songs is the real treat of the album, they are way better and more interesting. In the end I think that this album is a little bit too generic to really stand out but it is still a pretty good album.
I think that the seventh track Cars & Guitars is the highlight of the album, it is a very solid track and I really like it. I think Anders does well with this album, he may not rise to the top of the musical world with it but I think many people will find it a very agreeable album. But if this really is his musical bucket list it would seem that his musical aspirations are a little ordinary, but who am I to judge him?
