Have you ever wondered where the likes of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader or Yoda spent their youth, at least where they spend their early years. It was of course at the day-care centre for Jedi, a place where they learnt some things. Things went all wrong for that Vader fellow though, but the others turned out okay I suppose. A Danish quartet has taken that name and are about to release their first EP called Worst Things First, one has to wonder whether or not that means that they think this will be their worst release ever.

They performed punkrock of the more modern school, melodic, fast paced, well produced and with a decent vocalist. Short and to the point with four tracks that have a playing time of 15 minutes and the variation isn’t much but enough for such a short album. They show great energy and maturity with this their first effort and I would think that fans of the modern school of punk will like it, the label calls it pop punk but it isn’t that far from the likes of skatepunk etc. I think that it is a good production and it may be described as clever to use a producer like Jacob Hansen to create as good a sound as possible.

This is a rather good EP, a bit short for my liking but you can always play it twice if you like to have a bit more. That is a reason to why I am not that fond of EPs as they are often too short to really capture me, and this is no exception to that. The songs are good and all but I cannot help wanting to hear a bit more, why not do a few more songs and release an album instead? That is the eternal question and I rather think EPs in most regards are pointless and to me it would have been a better choice releasing an album. With that said however, it doesn’t mean that the EP is bad because I enjoy the songs as they are all enjoyable punk rock songs.

No song really stands out to me, I think they are all good but none is more good than the other songs on the album. So overall this is a good EP but I cannot help that I rather would have seen an album instead.
