Yesterday it was fate that was broken and today it is teeth that are broken, maybe they are bulldozed. From a place where most people are gun-loving inbreeds hails these guys, I am not saying that they are like the majority of their neighbours though. They are hardrocking bulldozing rockers that are releasing a new EP/Album called Bulldozer and it features a big tractor on the cover. I am not impressed by tractors, neither am I impressed by digging up tracks by Aerosmith and Motörhead but fortunately they didn’t do covers of Ace of Spades or Overkill which is a definite plus for them.

Musically they are not really breaking any new ground, none at all to be precise. They seem to be quite inspired by well-known acts like for instance Motörhead. It is not really a trip through unknown musical paths to listen to this album, more of a trip down memory lane and maybe it is just me but I do believe there is much more than enough of that stuff already. The sound is a bit dated, sounds like something from the past, the singer is not that impressive either – in fact nothing about this production strike me as particularly interesting.

The album is pretty decent, it certainly doesn’t suck but neither is it fantastic. This album feels like it is aimed only at people living in the past, dreaming about how much better it was back in the day – and sure no smartphones and no social media sounds brilliant but the rest wasn’t very brilliant and music is also better today and I am sure it will be remembered that way some years from now. The kind of music Broken Teeth makes has been made so many times that it is impossible to count and it has been made better at least half of those times that I cannot count, that means that to me this album feels quite pointless.

All tracks are okay on the album, none grabs me as overly impressive and the album feels a tad on the long side even though it is only 25 minutes long. I don’t know but all in all this feels like an album that is a tad pointless but I can understand why they made it in some sense and there will always be an audience looking to the past rather than at the future, maybe to avoid dealing with their own miserable lives. If you are not one of those thinking it was better in the past or with some strange belief like that, I doubt that you will find much joy from this album as it is for all of you who fear things you don’t know.
