Their music is quite varied throughout thirteen tracks and almost an hour’s playing time. It is mainly in the pop-rock department but it is an album that is hard to classify within a genre parameter. It is not heavy so maybe the death metal fans and their likes will be put off by it, but it is their misfortune as it is a well put together. The production is excellent, the vocals are very strong and the music spans many horizons, some with sax, harmonica, horns, tin-whistles and such things. Very melodic of course but not all the songs are built too much on a strong chorus. They do manage to make a long album sound quite short, which alone is a strong point but the album has more of those.
It is a great album, I really enjoy it and how they manage to not fall within a certain labelling. They do make music that sounds fresh while they still base it on music that we all can recognise and see a nostalgic value in. It is an exciting and it is a fun album. I must say that this was another one of these pleasant surprises that I have received on the musical front lately. I can recommend this album, I would say that I highly recommend it. A high rating is of course obvious, it is simply a great album that has no weaknesses and several very interesting tracks.
Picking a favourite track is not very easy as there are several tracks on this album that are really impressive, like the title track which is very enjoyable. But there are more great tracks like the opener Comin’ Around, and lets not forget What’s it Gonna Be and The Flame which are other great tracks that will impress you as a listener. The Balcony is another track that is very impressive. But there are more as well and none of the tracks feel inadequate, the fact is that this album is fairly close to a higher rating which is to say that it is a very good album that comes highly recommended. Don’t miss it.
