Not much has really changed from Pump, which is a shame as progress is always good. It is hardrock, plain and simple. Energetic, catchy, quite powerful and it rocks, it rocks a lot. I think Oliver Weers has a very suitable voice for this kind of music and the production is modern and top notch. Variation is quite typical of an album in this genre with a playing time of just over 40 minutes it is difficult to say anything other than it is a typical hardrock album.
It is a good typical hardrock album, it rocks the world and shows plenty of energy and power. It might not show that much progressive thinking though as this album offers nothing we haven’t already heard before. So it is mostly geared towards those not looking for new music with each new purchase, those who are satisfied with hearing the same again and again. I like this album but I will never love it due to the sense of having heard most of it before but there is no denying the fact that it is a good piece of entertainment.
Miracle Masters is a great song and so is the ending We All Touch Evil, that pair is the real keepsake of this album, the rest is good but nothing more. I think fans of traditional rock/hardrock will find this album very good, for you it is definitely worth checking out. For the rest of us it will most likely provide good entertainment but it is not fantastic enough to make any bigger impact. Good debut, well worth giving a chance can be my final comment on this album.
